The National Service Scheme unit was introduced in the year 2000 with the purpose of making the students aware of their social responsibility and preparing themselves for service of society. It gives an extensive dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. Their interaction with common villagers expose them to the realities of life and bring about a change in their social perception.
