About us
Mizoram Polytechnic Lunglei was established in the year 1981 by Government of Mizoram with only one Diploma Course in Civil engineering with the intake capacity of 60 students. In the following years in 1986 and 1991, two more new Diploma Courses Viz Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with intake capacity of 30 and 20 students respectively for each discipline were introduced by the State Government. The existing Polytechnic was further strengthened under World Bank Assisted Project(Tech Ed-III) by introducing the Diploma course in Computer Science & Engineering in 2001 with intake capacity of 30 students. It is affiliated to Mizoram State Council for Technical Education (MSCTE) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
