Computer Science and Engineering was introduced in the year 2001 with an annual intake of 30 students.


Vision of Department

To excel in the field of Computer Science & Engineering and to produce high quality, self motivated, creative and ethical diploma engineers and technologists, contributing effectively to universal science, contemporary education and technician education in particular .

Mission of Department

  • To impart high quality diploma engineering education and ethics . (M1)
  • To adopt the best pedagogical methods in order to maximize knowledge transfer. (M2) (M1)
  • To have adequate mechanisms to enhance understanding of implementation of theoretical concepts in practical scenarios. (M3)
  • To provide the best facilities, infrastructure, and environment to its students and faculty members, creating an ambience conducive for excellence in technician education. (M4)

Program Educational Objectives

  • To produce diploma engineers who would have developed a strong background in basic science and mathematics and ability to use these tools in their chosen fields of specialization. (PEO1)
  • To produce diploma engineers who have the ability to demonstrate technical competence in the fields of computing and develop solutions to the problems. (PEO2)
  • To produce diploma engineers who would attain professional competence through life-long learning such as degrees, advanced degrees, professional registration, and other professional activities. (PEO3)
  • To produce diploma engineers who function effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment and individually, within a global, societal, and environmental context. (PEO4)
  • To produce diploma engineers who would be able to take individual responsibility and to work as a part of a team towards the fulfillment of both individual and organizational goals. (PEO5)
